My transition from west to east has been surprisingly smooth. It helps that my new studio in Florida is amazing, with inspirational views of the calm Bay, abundant palm trees and white egrets. My short walks to the beautiful white beaches & peachy sunsets of Gulf are a spiritual experience always.
I just spent a wonderful week with Sierra and her husband Conrad at their beautiful home and studio in Venice, Florida. Not only is the property beautiful but the surroundings are warm, welcoming, peaceful and completely conducive for the exploration and expression of art. Nature abounds from the big sky vistas , always promising and delivering a glimpse of a beautiful tropical bird or family there of. To the beautiful expanse of water way that leads to some of the most beautitful, natural and tranquil beaches I have seen. Sierra's work is exquisite. There is a very large body of work that she is working on in her studio. Her style is quite recognizable. Soft glazes of color on very large panels. Portraits of women and children and adored pets or favored animals of her choice. A beautiful array of imagery is portrayed in lovely settings. Sierra is very accomplished in her media of oil as well as being very successful as a ceramic sculpture artist doing large beautiful figure work as well. Lovely!!!
