Solvent, Cooking Oil and Lots of Paper Towels

Viva and Blue Shop paper towels

Tip: I use two large cleaning jars, one is for solvent, the other cooking oil. Yep, cooking oil removes oil paint from your brushes! I also use plenty of paper towels to insure that my brushes are thoroughly clean throughout the painting process.
I love muddy colors, but only when I call for them!

Tip: When I'm done painting for the day, I put my palette in the freezer to extend the life of the oil paints. They last for months!
